Nippon Paint China（立邦油漆） is part of the Singapore-based Nipsea Group. Founded in 1881, Nippon Paint is one of the world’s earliest and most renowned coatings manufacturers with more than 100 years of history. The Nipsea Group, established in 1962, manages all Nippon Paint coatings business activities across Southeast Asia, covering 12 Asian countries with more than 20 manufacturing plants and over 6,000 employees. Since entering China in 1992, Nippon Paint has become a leading brand in the Chinese coatings industry, offering architectural coatings, automotive coatings, general industrial coatings, coil coatings, protective coatings, and powder coatings.

Challenges

• Need to coordinate local processes with global core processes

• Implement a zero-downtime cutover solution

• Improve execution efficiency of daily critical large-data reports

• Migrate 1.8 TB of data from traditional databases to SAP HANA based on SAP BW 7.3 and moderately optimize BW models

BOS Cloud delivered full implementation services for Nippon Paint Investment Co., Ltd., covering blueprint design, sales management, procurement management, inventory management, and financial management. The project included system implementation, training, testing, go-live support, and enhancement development, with successful zero-downtime cutover and data migration to SAP HANA.
